This Sunday we will be studying Matthew 10:34-42 and Romans 6:1-11. In these passages, Jesus and Paul are insisting that following Christ changes us. There’s a sharp distinction made between our past and our future and between the church and the world. As we turn from sin and turn to God the Holy Spirit makes us alive to Christ. These two lessons encourage us to participate in the Kingdom of God and in the life welling up from Christ.
