What to Expect

When do you meet?

We gather Sundays at 10am. Our services typically last about 75 minutes.

Where do you meet?

We meet at North River Christian Academy, located at 1785 McFarland N Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406

Is it hard to park?

No, there’s plenty of parking available on site.

What do I wear?

Come as you like! You’ll see people worshiping at St Philip’s wearing a breadth of styles, with some more dressed up, and others dressed informally.

What do kids do during the service?

During the service, we have nursery care available for children 0-3 and children’s church available for kids 3-8. Children are a blessing from the Lord, and they are always welcome during worship. Our aim is to empower parents and families to raise children who know and love the Lord.

What is the Worship like?

Our worship follows the Book of Common Prayer. Each week we read scripture, listen to a 15 to 20 minute sermon, celebrate the Lord’s Supper, pray, and sing. The service is both rooted and vibrant. We are well-grounded in the Anglican tradition and rejoicing in the victory of Christ.

What do you believe?

We believe in the historic Christian faith “once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3) as revealed in the Scriptures and summarized in the three early Creeds (the Apostles, the Nicene and the Athanasian).

What does Anglican mean?

The Anglican Church is a Bible-believing church with ancient roots. Our beliefs reflect the rich theological heritage of the Protestant Reformation, while our worship is both liturgical (patterned, participatory) and sacramental (we value weekly Communion).

Our church plant is connected to Anglicans around the world. We are connected locally with a group of churches in a diocese, the Anglican Diocese of the South. Our diocese is connected with other dioceses in a province, the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). Our province is connected with other provinces all over the globe through the Global South Fellowship of Anglicans (GSFA) and the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON).

And now, our question to you: How can we be praying for you?
